Urbanest projects are cohesive spaces that are not just reflective of the brand and the user, the student, but of the specific area within London which the building sits. For Urbanest Vauxhall, Michaelis Boyd looked back into the history of Vauxhall and took inspiration from the old Vauxhall gardens as well as the modern landscape of the new buildings that dominate the area. They drew further inspiration from the design of the building itself by Glenn Howells Architects, which was linear and angular.
